Helping Our Clients Go Green
Climate change is a hot topic in the media and with people all around the world. The National Ocean Service reports ocean levels are currently rising at a rate of one-eighth of an inch year on year, driven by climate change. As more and more evidence is brought to light around our ever-changing world people and businesses are looking for ways to personally reduce their carbon footprint.
Our Go-Paperless service helps to reduce transport emissions, reduce wood consumption, drive down the use of consumable stationery such as ink, cut down on production emissions and of course reduces wood consumption. But we haven’t stopped there!
As a company Bluecoat has provided a Go-Paperless service to clients for four years, it started simply by sending our clients relevant news and topical updates via email. It has slowly grown over time and we now can offer a variety of our services and interactions in an environmentally effective manner.
Our clients choose the level and types of environmentally saving interactions and services provided, including electronic document signing, emailed valuations, news and updates and video conferencing meetings. One green technology is our secure client portal. This allows clients to login to track their financial assets and liabilities, view a library containing recommendations, reports, newsletters and documents, all at a click of a button. Clients can also use the portal for storing their own important non-financial documents.
New technology is not for everyone and we are still able to accommodate individual preferences so that clients receive advice and communications in a more traditional manner. Therefore, if our clients would like their meetings conducted face to face but to receive their reports securely in their private client portal, it’s a service we can provide. We have brought environmentally saving technology and client convenience to the forefront of our business.
We cannot change the world overnight, but we are trying to do our part, in collaboration with our clients.
