On 3 June, I did something that was both nerve-wracking and exciting. After growing my hair for the past two years, I have cut off an incredible 18 inches and donated to The Little Princess Trust.

This wasn’t just a haircut. It was an opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child who has lost their hair through cancer treatment or conditions such as alopecia.

Hair is often something many of us take for granted. It can be a huge part of our identity, confidence, and self-esteem. For children and young people facing serious illness or hair loss, losing their hair can be an incredibly difficult and emotional experience. Through the generosity of hair donors and fundraisers, The Little Princess Trust helps restore confidence and bring smiles back to the faces of children who need it most.

The Little Princess Trust is a UK-based charity that provides free, real-hair wigs to children and young people up to the age of 24 who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions. The charity relies entirely on donated hair to create these beautiful wigs, which are individually crafted and professionally fitted for each recipient.

While donating hair is a vital part of the process, there is also a significant cost involved in transforming that donated hair into a finished wig.

It costs approximately £700 for The Little Princess Trust to provide just one wig. That’s why fundraising is so important. Every donation, no matter the size, helps the charity continue its incredible work and ensures that more children can receive a wig free of charge when they need it most.

Every inch cut was worth it, knowing that my hair will help create a wig for a child.

I would be incredibly grateful for any support you can give. Whether it’s making a donation, sharing my fundraising page, or simply helping spread awareness of this wonderful charity, every contribution makes a difference.

Together, we can help provide confidence, comfort, and hope to children and young people facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
